Holiday Survival Guide

Updated: Nov 27, 2020

It is that time of year again! I put together this blog and as a way to stay calm and centered during the holiday season!

Watch negative thoughts. The holiday season can bring up grief, depression, loneliness, self-pity etc. Watch how long you stay in these emotions. Take a step back! Self-manage. Take some time to reset. Do some praying, meditation or talk to a friend. Get a healing session, go to a group meditation or get a massage. Do some self-love and journaling, Try not to let this go too far!!! This is actually an opportunity for great self-healing. Listen to what you need. Sometimes I get special healing books or take classes.

Create your own traditions and happiness. This helps us overcome nostalgia or loneliness during the holidays as we may miss the “better times”. You can bake certain special things for the season. You can also do special craft projects. Or visit magical holiday places like Christmas tree farms, light displays or the mall- it can be fun shopping in this season in small amounts.

This is the life review time of year. This may bring up some uncomfortable feelings about where you are at and where you are headed. Take time to journal or have a blessing ceremony. Take time to take inventory and reset to your loving connection to the universe. Take time for deep forgiveness of everyone and everything, yourself included. Take time to bless all and pray for the future. This is also a time of surrender and trust as we may want to control things and this just causes us stress.

Eat healthy and exercise. Big one!!! It’s important to stay on track as much as you can with all the rich holiday foods!!! It’s all about balance! I like to sneak away for long walks or to go to the gym.

Don’t give into holiday hate and judgement! We might think oh man everyone is soo materialistic! We may hate on the shopping frenzy. Also we may dread holiday gatherings and the forced social interactions. Keep your perspective and focus on your own joy and happiness. Don't take it all so seriously.

Shift your focus- open your heart to fun and magic. Enjoy heart felt gifts and decorating. Look at the energy behind things instead of judging and thinking of everything as shallow. Pray for the world and be patient with it!!! Judgement only creates more unhappy thoughts and feelings.

Be of service!!!! Help those in need!! Donate toys, food or time! Bless all! This is very uplifting for the heart and soul!!!

Beating cold weather blues! ❄️Embrace creativity, cooking, meditation, house projects, introspection and planning. Catch up on YOU time! Catch up on good books and movies. Enjoy the excuse to stay in and regroup.

How to handle the chaotic holiday energy? Make time for exercise and meditation. Ground into the present moment. Do laid back therapeutic things with others. If you have to socialize enjoy peaceful activities such as nature walks, baking, crafting and seeing movies. Check with your body. See if you need a nap. 😴 It is easy to get overwhelmed and to over schedule. You may feel the pressure to shop till you drop, create the perfect holiday or attend every party! You might be meeting lots of new people and spending time with people you are not used too. Keep an open heart and bless all!!! Meeting new people can bring up our own insecurities. If you are an empath it can bring up uncomfortable energies so take care of you. Wear a crystal, stay near family pets, breathe and most of all don't let yourself be pushed over the edge.

😂 ***How to manage holiday financial stress? Flow with ease and don’t take it all so seriously. We can feel pressure to spend a lot of money this time of year. Watch the level of stress this creates. Ask the universe for what you need and stay in the intuitive joyous flow with your holiday shopping. Don’t let money stress thoughts run you. Say some abundance affirmations and stay in the flow of giving and receiving. Raise your vibe and let it go! Enjoy yourself. Don't take it all so seriously.

***Get into the love of the season. Embrace gratitude for family, and friends and all of the good things in life!! Remember the true meaning of Christmas!!! I am sending lots of love to all of you and I am sending millions of angels to bless your holiday season.
